Interpreter mode will be able via Google Assistant on Android and iOS devices starting today.
Interpreter mode allows for real-time translation of 44 different languages. You simple ask the Assistant to “help me speak French/Japanese/Italian” and it will trigger. You can then simply speak to the Assistant and it will provide you with the spoken and visual translation within a few seconds.
There is also a new Smart Replies feature which helps keep the conversation going if you find yourself lost for words.
